The boat in the clouds is a common theme. Usually I paint the boat empty. To me, the boat represents the soul. It is vessel of your being. It is drifting through mythical clouds. The clouds represent God, or the divine. These point to idea that though we seem to be drifting, the divine is guiding us. I also like the idea of smaller boats, because it something one person can manage. It is not a giant cruise ship, it is the row boat that a person can manage. This is life lesson that about accepting a life on life terms.
